Overview

The Firm advises individuals and families on estate planning and succession, and represents clients in the disputes that often follow when an estate is not clearly settled — from contested wills to inheritance disputes among family members.

A clearly drafted will, made with proper legal advice, prevents most succession disputes before they can begin — that is the starting point of the Firm’s advisory work. Where a dispute has already arisen, these are often the most personal and emotionally difficult matters a family will face, and the Firm approaches them with the sensitivity that requires, while pursuing the client’s legal position firmly and without unnecessary delay.

Probate, letters of administration, and succession certificate matters are conducted before the District Courts of Delhi, or the Delhi High Court in its testamentary jurisdiction for higher-value estates, with the Firm also handling any resulting appeals.
